WEST DEPTFORD TWP. — State police have charged a tractor trailer driver in connection with a crash with a tour bus that injured 32 people last week.
The truck and bus collided on the New Jersey Turnpike shortly after midnight on March 26.
The PandaNY Bus, traveling from New York City to Atlanta with 50 onboard, rolled on its side.
Police charged truck driver Anthony Spinelli, 24, from Newark, Delaware, with careless driving and failure to maintain lane, officials reported Thursday.
A supervisor for the bus company stated that the truck rear-ended the bus. Police could not confirm that description on Thursday and said the investigation is ongoing.
Patients from the bus were transported to various emergency rooms around the area. Not of the injuries were serious, officials said.
The truck is operated by PFG Customized Distribution, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Co.
