A 23-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y. woman was killed in a motorcycle crash in the Lincoln Tunnel on Wednesday morning.
NEW YORK — The 23-year-old passenger killed when a motorcycle crashed in the Lincoln Tunnel Wednesday morning has been identified by authorities.
Yennifer Blanco-Liz of Brooklyn, N.Y. was riding on a motorcycle driven by a 35-year-old Hyde Park, N.Y. man when the bike crashed into a wall in the north tube as it exited the tunnel into New Jersey at about 3 a.m., Port Authority police said Thursday morning.
Both Blanco-Liz and the motorcycle operator were thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the road. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash closed the tube and caused massive traffic jams into and out of New York during the morning rush.
