Michael Collis

Attorney Michael Collis is an experienced New Jersey attorney focusing his practice on family law, criminal defense, municipal court matters, and appellate advocacy.

Attorney Collis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, graduating in 2014. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School–Camden in 2017. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gregory L. Acquaviva, J.S.C., in the Monmouth Vicinage Family Division from 2017 to 2018, where he gained valuable insight into complex family law matters and courtroom proceedings.

Attorney Collis was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2017 and began his legal career as an associate with Gerstein, Grayson, Cohen & Melletz, LLP, where he practiced family law and handled a variety of related legal matters from 2018 through 2020.

Since 2020, Attorney Collis has been an attorney with Hark & Hark in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. His practice includes all areas of family law, including divorce, domestic violence restraining orders, custody disputes, and related family court matters. He also represents clients in criminal and municipal court matters and handles appellate litigation. Attorney Collis has successfully argued before the Appellate Division and has a published opinion, A.A.R. v. J.R.C. approved for published April 25, 2022.

Outside of his legal practice, Attorney Collis is married and a proud father of three children. He is also a volunteer firefighter with the Haddon Heights–Barrington Fire Department, where he serves his local community.
