Fatal Crash In Lincoln Tunnel Snarls New Jersey Commute

One person was killed Wednesday in an accident that shut down Lincoln Tunnel lanes, police said.

Port Authority police say a 23-year-old woman passenger from Brooklyn died and a 35-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle was injured in the 3 a.m. crash inside the tunnel.

The north tubed reopened around 6:30 a.m., according to PIX11.

The outbound northbound tube was closed because of an investigation of the fatal motorcycle accident, according to ABC7.

NJ Transit buses detoured to the outbound Holland Tunnel or the George Washington Bridge. NJ Transit trains will cross honor NJ Transit bus tickets, according to the report.
