EDISON — A jackknifed tractor-trailer blocked all the outer lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike headed north Thursday afternoon, according to the state.
511nj.org reported that the accident occurred south of exit 10. Just before 6 p.m., the accident was causing at least four-mile delays, stretching south into East Brunswick. Delays lingered even after the truck was towed away at about 5:20 p.m.
Through Edison and other towns, the Turnpike branches into separate inner and outer roadways. Trucks may drive on the outer roadways, or the rightmost.
Nobody was injured in the crash, according to State Police.
