The victim, identified only as a male, was hit near the Atlantic Street crossing by the No. 1639 train on the Pascack Valley Line to Spring Valley. None of the 300 passengers and crew aboard were injured, spokesperson William Smith said.
Service was suspended in both directions on the Pascack Valley Line Thursday night as transit police conducted an investigation. Bus transportation for commuters was being arranged by NJ Transit, Smith said.
