Person Killed After Truck Crashes, Catches Fire on I-295

At least one person was killed after a box truck crashed and caught fire on I-295 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey Sunday night.

The truck was traveling in the northbound lanes of I-295 when it struck the Route 73 overpass and burst into flames, officials said. Witnesses also told NBC10 they heard the sound of explosions.

Northbound and southbound lanes are shut down at the scene of the crash and there is a massive traffic backup in the area. Officials say the lanes will not reopen until engineers deem the overpass safe.
