Officials release name of dump truck driver killed in crash

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — State police have released the name of a man killed when the dump truck he was driving overturned on an interstate highway in New Jersey.

Charles Markley was eastbound on I-195 when the accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Saturday near milepost 15.2 in Millstone Township. Authorities say the truck veered off the roadway and overturned in the center median, trapping Markley inside.

The 50-year-old Gloucester Township man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. He was alone in the truck when the crash occurred.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. It did not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the crash.
