More than 40 students were transferred to hospitals in Rockland County, New York, police said.

Bergen County School Buses Crash Injures 40: Police

New York State Police are currently investigating a crash involving two school buses from Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest.

The crash occurred on the Palisades Interstate Parkway southbound on the exit 11 ramp in New City, New York when one bus rear-ended the other, police said.

Injuries are minor.

Forty to 60 students from the school were being transported to Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital via ambulances and additional school buses, police said. Authorities are investigating the crash.

New City, Palisades Interstate Parkway S/B near Exit 11. 2 occupied school buses involved an an accident. Reported to be numerous minor injuries. Several ambulances have been assigned.
