OLD BRIDGE — A New York teenager was hospitalized with serious injuries after the car he was traveling in ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle Tuesday morning, mycentraljersey.com reported.
The 18-year-old, a passenger in the car, was thrown from the vehicle in the accident at Spring Hill and Old Mill roads. The 17-year-old driver, who was not familiar with the area, was issued a summons for careless driving.
The other driver, a 21-year-old Manalapan woman, as well as the other occupants were unhurt.
The victim was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick.
