MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Four people were injured when the car they were in crashed on a New Jersey Turnpike exit ramp.
State police say the accident happened around 5:40 a.m. Sunday near Interchange 8A in Monroe Township.
The driver had just gotten off the highway and was traveling on the exit ramp when for some reason the car left the roadway and landed in the turnpike’s southbound truck lanes.
NJ.com reports that two people in the vehicle were ejected during the crash, including one who sustained serious injuries. But further details on all four victims have not been released.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
