MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — One person was killed in an accident involving a school bus and a motorcycle in South Jersey Monday morning.
The accident was reported at the intersection of South Church Road and Country Lane in Mount Laurel, Burlington County at about 8 a.m., the Mount Laurel Police Department confirmed late Monday morning. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has not been identified, but none of the children on the bus were visibly injured. The accident remains under investigation.
The bus was taking students to Countryside Elementary School, according to a Facebook post from the Mount Laurel Public School District. The students on the bus were picked up by another bus that took them to the school, where school nurses and extra counselors could evaluate them.
