New Jersey Vehicle Accident News – submitted by Jeffrey Hark, motor vehicle accident attorney.

JERSEY CITY—The drive to Memorial Day festivities seems to be relatively clear as of Monday morning, with a few exceptions.

New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams told NJ Advance Media just before 8:30 a.m. that there were no major incidents or road closures to report. He wasn’t immediately able to provide information on a few accidents reported by the state Department of Transportation.
According to the department’s website, 511nj.org, the following accidents and incidents have been reported so far:
  • An accident was reported at 8:06 a.m. westbound on the Atlantic City Expressway, east of exit 28
  • As of 8:01 a.m., a downed pole on NJ 35 southbound near County Route 635/Broadway in Point Pleasant Beach closed down the right lane and shoulder.
  • An accident was reported at 7:12 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway northbound, just south of exit 88. All lanes open to traffic.
  • As of 7:09 a.m., there’s an accident and a vehicle off the road on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound in Woolwich Township, south of Interchange 2.
