LAKEWOOD — One person suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway Thursday morning, police said.
Sgt. Jeff Flynn, a State Police spokesman, said troopers responded at around 8:20 a.m. to the southbound side of the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 88.9.
Flynn had little information on the incident, which remains under investigation, but said the collision was between a pickup truck and a dump truck on the left side of the highway.
A female occupant in the pickup truck was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious injuries, Flynn said.
He said the collision temporarily closed down the two left lanes.
