A 73-year-old Wayne man was driving the wrong way on I-287 on Monday. Oakland police drove beside the man to get him to stop and police said the man was suffering from a medical episode.

An overturned truck on Route 287 south caused extensive backups to the Wednesday morning commute in Hanover.
The accident occurred at 5:59 a.m. at mile marker 39, north of Exit 37 for Route 24.
New Jersey State Trooper Gene Hong said that the driver of the GMC pickup truck was taken to Morristown Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, but had no other details.
The accident is under investigation, Hong said.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation reported the right and center lanes of southbound Route 287 were closed to clear room for the response.
Traffic on southbound Route 287 backed up as far as Route 80, on which westbound traffic in the local lanes backed up all the way to the Route 280 interchange.
The scene was cleared before 10 a.m., Hong said.
